Bolivia — Our Emotional Heart

The emotional origin of F20F is Bolivia. There, a dog found on the verge of destruction was rescued, treated, rebuilt and loved back to life. Her name was Flaca. Her recovery — love executed with discipline — is the living thesis of the Foundation. The photographs below play as cinema, not as a static grid. The recovery: Flaca was found in a Bolivian trash dump, seconds away from being crushed by a waste truck. With teeth shattered by abuse, her body invaded by cancer and in a state of total abandonment, she represented what society calls 'disposable'. Her miraculous recovery in the founders' home, driven by a love that became technique and a discipline of care, is the central thesis of the foundation.
